St Mary Magdalene in Enfield traditionally hold a communal meal during Holy Week - the week leading up to Easter Sunday. It is a simple, Mediterranean style meal. During the meal Communion is shared commemorating the Last Supper Jesus held with his disciples in the upper room. This is represented by the Palm for Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week, wheat and grapes, the main ingredients in the bread and the wine - the loaf and the chalice.
